Miroslava Sharaievskaya
“Vaasa Through the Eyes of a Teenager”
Miroslava Sharaievskaya moved to Vaasa with her family from Ukraine in 2023.
She is 14 years old and looks at the world through a teenager’s eyes — with curiosity and a freedom from fixed patterns.
In her hands, markers and fineliners become tools of observation: building lines, street intersections, and the silhouettes of old facades come together as lively architectural sketches. She does not draw idealized architecture, but architecture as it lives beside her — with uneven lines, unexpected angles, and a strong sense of being “here and now.”
For Miroslava, Vaasa is not just a city, but a space of moods, rhythms, and subtle details that are easy to miss if you don’t know how to look. Through her sketches, the city unfolds like a personal visual diary — sincere, alive, and filled with a sense of the future, where every line is an attempt to understand the city and her place within it.
The exhibition “Vaasa Through the Eyes of a Teenager” is an invitation to see familiar streets in a new way.

David Still
In some selected works from the exhibition “Mellanrum,” David Still presents images from everyday life, small moments between life’s major events. What has the man said that evokes such a reaction among his friends? What is the book about, and how does it end? Narrative painting offers clues about what is happening but also invites the viewer to fill in part of the story themselves.
Among the exhibited works are also some newer pieces, where the content is a bit harder to interpret. In search of a kind of abstract symbolism, David tries to find images that clearly have meaning, but where that meaning is not as obvious. Some truths cannot be seen directly but must be sensed from the corner of one’s eye.
I några utvalda verk ur utställningen Mellanrum visar David Still bilder ur vardagen, små ögonblick mellan livets stora händelser.
